TULLE
Recurring to 'layering', mixing it with grunge clothes, consecrating yourself to the dark side ... Yes, there is life for the most romantic fabric after the 20 (and the 30, and the 40 ...).
Think at the girl who wished as a child raise a ballerina tutu, which years later dreamed of the white dress with tulle skirt with which Kim Boggs (Winona Ryder) dances under a snow of ice chips in Edward Scissorhands, or the one desperately looking for the white tulle skirt worn by Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) in the opening credits of Sex and the City in the early 2000s.
The tulle garments are one of those icons of childhood / adolescence with which we have all fantasized at some time, but then the maturity and you forget them.
However this season the tulle fabric lives a second youth (and we with it). Certain brands have recovered it in its most classic and extended version, in the form of a ballet uniform, with Valentino in the lead; although there are others that unfold it exploiting its dual aspect: on the one hand, as the embodiment of innocence; and, on the other, in its darkest side (which has it). Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini or Erdem are ascribed to this last current.
In any case, and it is in the format of the two previous ones, what is clear is that the tulle is worn, but not in the same way as when you saw Edward Scissorhands or Sex in New York. Dressing as a teenager, tempting as it may be, is not an option. But quiet, it is perfectly possible to wear tulle garments after 20, 30 and 40. Yes, in a romantic way.
